Id also like to mention there really is no true way to calculate a trap speed based on a hp number, there are to many factors that can play in on both. A car can dyno 400hp on a hot humid day, and dyno 415 on a cool dry day. Once i car spins a number on a roller doesnt mean its set in stone theres alot of factors that can be attributed to ambient conditions. Even tire size, running a 28 inch slick on a dyno will cause a lower hp reading compared to say a 17 inch wheel woth a 315/35/17. Also a manual vs auto will produce different numbers compared to eachother. Another factor is the power to weight ratio and so on so forth.

I don't get how even gearing, stalling and "tiring" your car perfectly can even help gain the extra 5-8MPHs on your trap that you're claiming. I'm still not convinced at all that your setup is EXACTLY as stated for those numbers. Either way you're running fast and i'm not close. I'm still not even sure its physically possible to trap that high but I don't know exactly how to calculate traps off the top of my head.

It is infact true with stock PI heads that the KB 2.1L does start losing torque on the top end with a 2V. This problem is completely eliminated with either headwork on a 2V or Cobra 4V heads. But a 2.1L thats dropped onto a stock 2V motor will not sustain its torque.

Gonna attach my dyno sheet. The dyno pull starts @ 3100 RPMS and the torque peaks by 4K. Thats within 900 RPMS and it is every bit as fun as it sounds. It pulls up to full torque that quick regardless of what RPM you start at. As you can see the torque fell way off. Between 4K and 6K it loses ~70RWTQ but the horsepower does climb until redline unlike what you thought. But thats a 9 PSI pulley, not bad. Thats what you get with an otherwise stock 2V though. On a side note i'm confused on how centri setups always have more HP than torque. This is technically impossible because horsepower is a function of torque over a period of time. So realistically even a perfect setup will have equivalent HP and torque. Kinda weird.

BTW that snakebite video is CLEARLY sped up. That is not a natural real time video. It is a sick vid regardless. And did you run that P600B on a 4V? If so it would probably be fair to compare with KB 4V SN-95 cobras, not 2V GTs. Though it is practically impossible to I/C those with a KB.
Anyway you can host that chart somewhere cause I cant see a damn thing on that mini picture lol.

Also, as uberstang mentioned, there is so many variables you just cant make a blatant statement like that about power.

There is no smoke and mirrors though and nothing out of the ordinary. Just a good setup, slicks, nice stall, and ive perfected my shift points/ converter lockup over the years.

I think my race weight was about 3350 lbs. I do run at cecil which is a fast track but ive still seen a million 400 rwhp+ 2v cars run there and the usually dont trap any higher than 114-116 mph.

Those are usually manual cars.

You have to understand that a centri blower works off higher RPMS...the higher the rpms, the more boost, the more power you make so with an automatic and a loose stall I can hold higher RPMS far longer than a manual car, thus raising my average power.

Average power is what matters here, not peak power.

Woh on all this talk.

I finally got my V1 running properly after a couple little things. It lasted a trip to OCMD sitting in traffic and getting beat on. So sweet.

Had a nice run with a GT that had boltons and gears I assume since he asked me what I had. I guess that's because I started walking on him slowly after he got the hit.

No Hemi. Just the 4.7L V8. I didn't care which V8 it had - both will serve my purposes. I just wanted to find a clean one with the brown saddle interior. Found what I wanted and jumped on it.

You guys bicker like school girls.

I honestly thought it was going to be louder than everyone made it out to be.

Found Weld Drag Lites for $350 with tires. Rears are shot I was told but fronts are ok it sounds like. No center caps though. Worth the 2 hour drive?

lol, that comment really has nothing to do with me selling my wheels man, although it would be in your best interest to buy the billet specialties...

I mean seriously, is this even a competition.

Just threw up in my mouth looking at that.
