Hey man!
Build that thing any way you want to! It is your car so you make yourself happy with it. As mentioned above, adding your favorite parts from other models is cool, but as was also mentioned I would definitely stay away from badging it as some other model.

Enjoy the car and don't sweat what others think or say!!!

SHHHOOT! That's what a GT is for, to go WILD. It's still a GT no matter what you do to it. I'm a purest. A Cobra, a Mach, Saleen, Roush...etc lose they're IDENTITY when messed with. But a GT, not to worry. I know, the wife has the Mach. That's why I have the GT.

If it drives fine, then who cares! I'm sure you got it for a steal.

I think it's fine to put other car parts on your car. Just no badges or wording

Wow, overwhelming response on this one. Thanks again for all the input guys. I have a lot of things left that I want to do to mine, that's for sure. I know owning a New Edge GT isn't anything special, but it took years of saving and arranging to even get my first V8 car in general. I'm pretty damn excited.

Don't let ANYONE fool you 99GTM. The New Edge is a GREAT platform. Sure it's not the TOP of the Tech Class. But, who cares? it's still a COOL looking design if upgraded properly. I still LOVE mine. Bought it new in '03, and still love getting behind the wheel every day. I'm not intimidated by the 05 and up models. I like them ok, so STAY PROUD.

Thanks man, I appreciate that. I'm a simple guy, first time I've ever owned a V8 muscle/sports car in my entire life so I'm thrilled. I'm looking forward to making it mine. Nice ride yourself.
