guys, thank you so much on your replies. i am extremely gratefull of your replies guys holy crap. 03-04 cobra clutch it is. aluminum flywheel definitely sounds like a go, and ford racing bearings (pilot and throwout) are definitely in order, and the ford clutch cable as well. my aftermarket that i just put in stretched in 2 weeks. back to the same old shiz.

definitely am feeling that my car is not up to par with needing a dual friction clutch. i see that its rated for 450+ hp, and i;m, at most, going to do cams and MAYBE ported heads/heads that i find one day with the money on craigslist or somethign ramdomly. it's my dd and i never have much money to put into.

yeah i mean cobras push huge power and it seems that the stock clutch holds it fine. i was looking up in-car videos of the 03-04 cobras to hear how the clutch grabs at WOT and it sounds like there's no rev right before it grabs. it's just shift-slight pause-rev up sound. it's crazy. it seems like it would be perfect for my car, while keeping it OEM and somewhat reliable. know what i mean?

op, the centerforce is 100% fine for even a stock GT. the rating doesnt mean anything. how much do you think the rating for the cobra clutch is? those cars come stock with about 370whp IIRC because ford underrated them, thats 425hp at the motor. the clutch is going to be rated for more than the minimum the car puts down. so do you REALLY think theres a huge difference in clamping between the two clutches just because one is another cars "stock" clutch? just dont understand the logic in getting a cobra clutch just because of the rating on the centerforce. not trying to suade you the cobra clutch will be just fine, but i cant say enough good things about centerforce.

Still good feel on the pedal. Good choice for the money
he has an 01.5 up, king cobra wont work without downgrading to a 10.5" flywheel...
