i had misread and thought he was still trying to say spray it after the maf or something, i have no idea just disreguard that one i dont even know what i was thinking when i read it.

i dont think a dry kit is unsafe at all, so long as its done properly (injectors able to keep up, spraying before the maf, and a good dyno tune). my personal preference is a wet kit because IMO there is less to go wrong with a wet kit than a dry kit, but i dont think either are unsafe when you know what you are doing.

The only thing that I will add to this is that SOME dry kits are meant to be sprayed after the MAF if they utilize a fuel enrichment module. With a fuel enrichment module, it basically tricks your car into thinking the rail pressure is low and then ups the voltage to the pump accordingly thus adding more fuel that way. It has nothing to do with the tune or the MAF. That is how my kit works.

If you want to look at the kit it is p/n: 05116NOS Made by NOS

I can pick out the posters here who have never sprayed a car, and are giving advice. This THREAD RIGHT HERE is why forums can be dangerous.

I've said this 1000X's. If you don't know what you're talking about. DON'T GIVE ADVICE!!

I'll be the first to admit that this car has never seen spray. I should be getting the car on the dyno in the next month or so to get the system dialed in for next season. If I have given out any false or misguided info, I will gladly edit my posts.

I appreciate all the responses ya'll. I think I'm just gonna wait on the spray alittle while. I may consider blower cams, heads and the whole nine so I can spray comfortably. I think imma be addicted to the juice, however s/c's are also sick!

heads and cams dont make nitrous any safer. forged bottom end is what will make your motor stronger.

Oh okay. I definitely want to forge but that's out of ny budget right now. What will it take to spray like a 150 or 175 dry all day long at the drags?

Personally, even with the best tuning possible, i wouldn't go over 125 if it were me. You might get away with a 150 shot for a while if your tune is spot on, but that's REALLY pushing it IMO.

i dont have any experience with anyone spraying that big of a shot, i havent even seen anyone spraying more than a 125whp shot (which is about 150 crank depending on how you wanna say it).

175 shot of nitrous is like 250tq, and torque is what breaks things. you would easily be pushing over 500tq to your drivetrain. that means things will probably break so youll need to beef your rear end and stuff, and youll need suspension to even be able to hook it.

before you even worry about spraying that high, just get your setup done PROPERLY, get a dyno tune, and spray a 100whp shot and see what you wanna do from there. you havent even felt your 60 shot...with your setup done wrong thats why you didnt feel any extra power and you were dissapointed. trust me youll be good with a 100whp shot for a while. even a little 60 shot will put a smile on your face once you get it set up.
