Gah i cant find any touch up paint for my car. I have 00' mustang in performance red (ES)

None of the new duplicolor books in stores even have the paint code listed. I look on the shelves and the closest thing is called "cardinal red" which seems darker.

So i go online and it claims they have a match with my car, but the picture is displaying a cardinal red which im fairly certain wont work...

So my real question is what paint will match!? Is cardinal red a mustang color? Would a local stealership be able to provide a matching color that has a similar applicator like duplicolors?

Duplicolor doesn't offer or can't match some paints in their touch up containers. So while you may be able to buy it from them, it is likely not in the little pen or small can. It would be the 2 stage type paint they can't put in a rattle can IIRC...

Try going to the dealer and they probably can order the touch up paint with your paint code. I have never had good luck with aftermarket paint matching.

my painter gave me the left over mineral gray after he painted my side skirt. maybe you could head into your painter and have him make you a small batch.
