Default throttle body and plenum install. What will i need

i got a mac throttle body and a c&l plenum from another member a while back, just never got around to putting it on yet.

What gaskets and stuff will i need. On American muscle for the c&l plenum has a small piece of hose. Would i need that?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/cnl-in...enum-9604.html

Thanks guys

An impact screwdriver will be helpful to get the tps removed from the stock piece.

Forget the impact screwdriver...you run a bigger chance at stripping the head of the screw that way

Just get a pair of vice grips to remove that damned screw.

i would deffinetly recommend getting a handheld tuner with a custom tune specifically for your mm TB and plenum. When i put mine on i ran it both before and after i tuned it before i tuned it i got maybe 1/4 mile down the road and turned around to tune it because my car ran horrible untuned

2V's are not known to run poorly without a tune after intake mods...did you disconnect your battery for at least 5 minutes to reset the Keep Alive Memery after you installed your TB and plenum?

yes it would have made a difference, because your car will "re-learn" certain peramiters to a degree when you reset it. your car was trying to run on aftermarket parts exactly how it did when it was stock.

the small hose piece you will need i believe...i did and i have an 03 so i assume it was 01.5 or erlier that they kept the small hose. just go look at your stock plenum, if where they have a small barb, you have a large one on your stocker then youll need a spacer.

if you do then do what i did, go to home depot and bring the plenum in there, and find a piece of thick hose that goes over the barb and would seal the gap. measure the inside diameter of the rubber hose that needs to slide over it and make sure it will make a decent enough seal, then use a worm drive clamp to tighten it down.
