Supercharger or 32V DOHC?

Can i go with neither? get a set of Pi heads and a set of cams with an intake and exhaust and a tune and you will have plenty if power for a DD. You won't have the head ache of finding 4v parts and the cost of a supercharger. You can get all that for around $2-2.5K and have $500-1000 to replace what i'm assuming are really worn suspension components.

Well, I can't post up much to add to the convo besides saying thanks for the differing opinions. I'm going to look at the "unknown" Stang tomorrow. I called once again today to confirm and they said that the bumper as well as badges are missing. Is there any obvious way to find out if it's a Cobra/GT besides running the VIN?

On a serious note....if it's a cobra it will say it everywhere. There are doortags with numbers. The engine has a tag on it signed by the builder. The intake manifold will have a cobra on it. The steering wheel will say cobra. If it's a cobra it wont say Mustang anywhere but the right side of the dash.

Put a call in once again to confirm. A lady answers the phone, I tell her that I spoke to someone on thursday about a 96-98 Mustang with a V8. She says yup, we have it. I asked if they happened to know weather or not it was a Cobra, she replies (like most people that hate their job) "I dunno". I asked if I could speak to the guy that I talked to, she said he wasn't present. So I asked is the engine salvageable (car was totaled in rear), she said the car is but the engine is not. I then asked what she meant, she simply said it's not. I was pretty close to wondering how many rocks were rolling around upstairs. I said does the car currently have an engine in it, she said no. I said why didn't you say that from the get-go, she hangs up..

Anyways, my search continues for a tuned 16v or a 32v.
