Supercharger or 32V DOHC?

Supercharger or 32V DOHC?
I finally decided to break the ice and start dropping some cash into my Stang. It's a 96 GT, everything is running stock mechanically speaking. I've decided to up the power. The top easiest ways seem to be either an S/C or get a DOHC. I've done some brief looking around on Craigslist and couldn't find either. I plan to make some calls to auto salvage yards tomorrow to see if they have either.
So if you were in my position, which would you choose? Both seem like they're going to run $3k regardless. If I went with the DOHC, what changes would need to be made to my Stang now? Would I need to change out the tranny?
If you think there is a better idea than the two I've listed, please do point me in the right direction. I don't think I'd be able to do a rebuild unless I bought another 4.6 and did it in spare time as the Stang is my current daily driver (not even going to think about putting my Camaro on the road being winter).
Thanks guys.

Depends on the 32V. If you go with a C headed motor like a Mach 1 or an 01 Cobra, then I say go with that. If you are looking at a B headed motor like a Mark VIII or a 96-98 Cobra, then go with the supercharger.

DWTJR, I was just reading off what American Muscle had listed for the 96-98 SC.
Regardless of it's legality (which it's not legal, period), I wouldn't run it in my car. I've seen a few threads on different websites of NOS exploding in peoples rides. I'd prefer not to have a time bomb in my car =) The worst NOS failure I've seen was a guy's LS1 Camaro with the hatch pretty much blown off. The valve was said to have gone through the windshield and land 150 feet away from the car.

First of all nitrous is no more dangerous than a supercharger when it's tuned and setup right. I've been running mine for years (been through numerous bottles) and haven't had one single problem. It's bar none the cheapest way to get big power on a budget period.
As far your situation is concerned, personally i'd do a PI swap and supercharge it. Since you're only wanting around 400 hp.
