How big of a shot are you planning on running? Wet or dry kit? If you have a wet kit and dont spray over 100 then you can run the stock tune with 93 octane and some TR6 plugs. No need to buy a tuner

I hate to be a killjoy, but I would strongly suggest you get a custom tune done if you really want to be "SAFE." Nitrous can be an awesome power adder, but only if you do it right. It is not worth a trial and error approach to tuning it yourself.

Just my 2 cents...

BTW, I am comtemplating adding some spray for 1320' trips. One of my concerns is the cost of another custom tune for it. The cost to add it just seems to be a little more than I want to spend to add a kit to my ride. Not to mention the $50 bottle fills each time I go to the track.

GOOD LUCK with your new power mod!

I know some people run up to a 100 shot (usually wet) without a tune, but i just wouldn't do it. In fact i decided against doing the self tuning route, and went with a custom dyno tune. I've been running the sauce this way for around 3 years now, and haven't had a single issue.

That's just my take on the issue.

I would buy a wideband o2 and the sniper special forces tuner. Instant win.

It only takes 1 hiccup... you could have the safest tune on earth and bad things can and will happen. Thats the downside to power adders unfortunately. Im just letting the guy know the easiest (and cheapest) way to get his car goin fast, safely. I shoulda said to wire in a window switch with his setup. spray from 3-5800. With a tire you'll be low 12s all day night and weekend
