Id go with a silver and black scheme...but what goes into taking them off?? What do i need?

And yea id take my time trust me...im super **** about this stuff...if i didn't feel confident id have my buddy at his body shop do it.

EDIT: I really just don't want to spend 200+ on a set of valve covers...

As far as I remember, once you get the harness/fuel line/intake tube out of the way, they are just bolted down with 10mm bolts. Should come off easy after that. Might look nice painted black with the raised fins touched in silver.

Yea...i kinda wanted an all silver w/ a little black. But we'll see...I just want something to stand out under the hood and something to go w/ my edelbrock intake and to dress up those friggin nice heads and cams.

Your drive side valve cover just fell right off after you got the bolts out huh. We must be talkin about 2 totally different cars haha

^^^ He must not be talking about a New Edge Fox GT. The guy (a reputable mechanic) said that he would never do that again for the price he quoted me. Kinda felt bad for the dude so I bought him a six pack of Bud...

Well, it all depends. I say take them off and get somebody else to pain them. I was at mustang week and saw a vendor that specialized in valve cover painting and only charged a hundred bucks or so i think

I got alot of my engine bay stuff powdercoated, I'm a fan of having body matched engine parts it makes the whole car flow nice when the hoods open. The driver side can't be as bad as the 4v cover and I did it by looseing the motor mount andjacking up on the motor it wasn't to bad, I would imagine it would have to be easier on a 2v. But i would recommend powdercoating over paiting, it will hold up better IMO. EDIT: sorry forgot your valve covers are plastic, no powdercoating for them.
