Ok what goes into taking your valve covers off if i wanted to paint mine?

Would it be easier to just buy new ones or do you think i could paint mine??

buy moroso CAM covers. lol Painted stockers I think wouldnt be the most attractive thing ever. The moroso's are sexy. If you can find team breed covers, they are also pretty awesome.

I too would suggest getting an extra set and painting those. Less down time that way (and you don't have to worry about messing up). Alternatively, just doing something classy to the stock ones won't make it look cheesy, just stay away from weird colors or flames lol.

paint them like what, red? If you get it professionally done to match your exterior paint or something it might look ok. Not my cup of tea, but I mean, I have seen some cars pull it off (If the colors actually match). Oh, and this isnt spray paint, I mean powder-coated and a real paint job. anything you buy in a can will give it a flat kinda "fake" look (because of the color)

they are a little tricky to remove, but if you sand them, paint them, take time with it, they will come out well. use high heat paint, and probably a high heat clear. be verrrry careful putting them back on, with the tight spacing, you're bound to scratch the new paint!! what color you want to go with? its really not that difficult to get them off, though.

They aren't that bad to pull off. It's easiest if you get your harness, fuel line, intake tube, etc.....off and out of the way.

BBK, Trick Flow, and Moroso all make nice aftermarket replacements if you don't want to take the chance on painting the stockers. The only problem I see with painting the stock ones is that they are going to look pretty ****ty anything other than black.
