Meth Kits..
I've been doing some reading and research on meth injection kits and just wondered how safe it is.. I am running 18lbs of boost right now on 93 octane and am wanting to put on a meth kit so I can run 22lbs at 93 octane without creating detonation.. How safe are these kits? What if you're running wide open and the kit fails...are my pistons going to be completely done for? I'm just tryin to pick at your guys' brains to get everyones opinion on them..

ok here we go lol...i personally have the aem meth kit it came with my car..it is programmed in such a way that when it gets to low or it doesnt sence liquid in the pump it retards my timing and wont let me get on it just how traction control works!! It has 2 seperate lights on my pillar one blue light shows when its spraying which is programmed to do that 10psi and up and another light for when it starts to get low...so the unit is smart and can tell when something isnt right...
I am running 20 psi 650hp 600lb and the meth does an amazing job of keeping my temps down...in making my tune we coulda advanced the timing alot but we didnt want to just incase the thing stops working for whatever reason!! so just need to find a tune between your set up now and alittle more agressive with meth but dont completely rely on the meth..
IMO meth is an awesome thing in the heat of the summer you go from it on to off you can watch the temp gauge cruise below half not to mention feeling the huge power diff of gettin some of the power back that you lost from the heat..
hopefully that helps man...

Yeah, I'm definitely going to do a lot of research now. I don't want to dominate my motor just because I lacked knowledge in a certain area..lol I'm thinkin I'll see what snow performance techs recommend for my specific car.
