I welded the nuts to the trunk floor pan from above and thread the studs into those.

Does anyone run an alternator disconnect(Jayc)?

Here's the wiring diagram I used. It has passed NHRA and NMRA tech several times.

That is what I was thinking would work instead of running a disconnect solenoid, just separate the power wire from the trigger wire on the alternator with the switch.
