Most of the tunes for 1.8t are good for at least 50ftlbs of torque. Thats quite a gain for just a flash, also, most of the tunes only bump the psi to like 15-16, so if hes running 22.... better watch out. lolz
GTIs are my other love FYI.. i ALMOST bought one last year.

VW/Audi's are also another love of mine.....Two of my best friends run those black DSG turbo 2.0T jettas. One of them is pushing 320+ to the wheels and with the DSG those things FLY.

Budders I think you should say F it and give it a whirl. If you lose, I'd make 4.10s and 100shot my next mods.

If its an aftermarket turbo and sounds like the stock K03 its likely the K04. That turbo on the 1.8 alone with no other mods will put him at around 240 to the wheels lol.

Arnt turbos fun?

I think you should race him and find out. He might just pull you.

Also, I think you should post this same thread on a VW forum and see what they say. Every story has at least two sides.

And the Mustang makes 260HP, but isn't that flywheel power?

Just race him!

Can he drive? Can you drive?

I've beaten my friend in an 04sti pushing 24lb's on the stock turbo (320awhp/380awtq) bc he simply couldn't drive. If we did it again now, he would bury me... It's all in the driver lol

I caught one last summer. I have a stock 08 GT stick. We went from a dig at a light. I wasn't sure he was going to go for it "he had that look straight ahead I can't turn my head action going on". But, when the light changed he nailed it, pulled hard, I nailed it,pulled harder, we were side by side when I banged 2nd and quickly had him in my rear view mirror. He stayed there well into 3rd not gaining or losing. Then, I had to slow it down. The ahole then rode my *** like a jerk. He looked about late 20's with his GF/Wife. I am 59 and was with my wife, and when I powershifted 2nd he looked over real hard. I had to laugh.
