Default Nitrous Help

I had to sell my supercharger system because I just dont have the money to finish it. So Ive decided to go with a nitrous kit. Specifically a wet kit. It will be a 75 shot. Will the stock fuel pump work or should i invest a bap or svt focus fuel pump? Any additional info would greatly be appreciated also!

your stock pump will be fine for anything under a 100 shot

now if it were me id upgrade to a focus pump or gt pump. you can never be to safe with nitrous. maker sure you also change your fuel filter. i would also get it tuned even tho its not needed but like i said can never be to safe

I agree with the above.

Also, get yourself a set of 1 heat range colder than stock spark plugs and gap them to 0.035.

Your stock fuel pump will be fine with a 75 shot, but why only a 75 shot? IMO, do a 100-125 shot with a good tune. With the proper tuning you'll be fine at this level, and it will be a whole lot faster. I've been running a 100 shot (runs more like a 125 shot though) for 3 years now, with the stock clutch, trans, motor, etc...and haven't had any problems whatsoever.

BTW, what kind of supercharger did you sell?

I actually just bought a dry kit from everett. I just want to do a 75 shot because I dont want to tune yet because I plan on adding cams and dont want to waste the money of tuning it twice

You might be okay with no tune on a 75 shot, but since it's a dry kit (which is what i have btw) i would not recommend it. When i did cams very little had to be done in the way of tuning, both n/a and nitrous. It was just basically a matter of setting the idle right.

Let me clear a few things up. Best kit out for the 4.6 is the nx plate kit. On a stock pcm, you can run 93 octane pump gas and a 100 shot and it'll be safe. The stock pcm has enough spark retard to handle. 100hp wet shot on its own. I would never spray the 4.6 with a dry kit, otherwise your looking at upgrading injectors and fuel pump

What is it about the NX Plate kit that is so desireable?
I just spoke with my tuner about a kit for my car and he said if it were him, he would get a ZEX wet kit and not bother with a plate kit. I want to run either a 75 or 100 shot. He thinks the ZEX kit is a very good kit.

I was planning to use that and a window kit to protect me on the top end as well. Is this a bad plan???
