Those are called positive displacement blowers. There is no lag. Instant powaaaaaa.

So do they produce the same amount of boost instantly and throughout the RPM? So like... 9 PSI from 700-6800? Sorry... just trying to learn here I'd like to know about what I'm buying before I buy it.

any time the throttle is open. they give 100% boost at idle-whenever

Okay thanks. That's kind of what i though. I didn't know about the vacuum at low rpm's though. I think the term "lag" might get misinterpreted or misused sometimes.

Here are a few examples of dyno sheets.

they are expensive and alot harder to cool. like someone said about the ported cobra blower earlier....easy to find.

The turbo dyno graph looks a lot like my nitrous graph in how it ramps almost straight up when it spools.

What's interesting between the other two is where the torque is made. At first glance the twin screw appears more impressive (and it is of course at lower rpm) but then the centrifugal carries the torque curve better in the higher rpm's. Of course it's not a fair comparison due to one having much higher overall power. I'd love to see a comparison between the two when they both have equal peak numbers.

turbo beats them all though. you make more power at the same bootst. a friend of mine in the amry has an 02 v6 with a procharger and at 12 PSI he had 308 tq and 270 rwhp and my v6 had basicaly the same numbers at half the boost. he also had a small cam, longtubes, o/r x and magnapack cat back
