Oh i don't doubt that for one second. Once a turbo hits, it's lights out for the competition. I guess you get what you pay for though.

my turbo kit was only $500 more than his procharger and mine came with a full 3 inch exhaust. the only reason he beat me when we raced (the 1/8th mile POS track off Sheridan in Laton, OK) was because my clutch would not hol and he was running a 2600 stall converter on DRs. lots of grip and launching right when boost is starting means your *** hooks and books. we did both like ripping on this ******* with a bone stock 96 GT that claimed he could run 7s though.

Just out of curiosity do you know what would be a good price for a totally complete setup for my ride? I'd really like a Kenne Bell ultimately, but if i can get a complete turbo setup for the same price it would be very tempting.

not a clue. the guy that made my turbo kit quit making them. hellion makes kits (i highly reccomend them), but they are like $7k for a twin turbo. no idea howmuch a kenne bell costs but i have heard you need to buy extra stuff to make it work, i have never dealt with one so i only have word of mouth to go by.

http://peregrinesupercars.com/96-04%20Mustang.htm has kits but i have never seen one installed.

and not sounding bad but if Tim Barth is supporting it it has to be good. plus they use Garrett turbos which i personally like better than turbonetics.

if only this statement was true, it may be accurate for low psi pd blowers but mine will jump up to 15 psi and then slowly climb to the max at 20psi

MRT, I can bet you that the PD blower car will be more impressive. You can run a better cam grind and not lose bottom end and you will have a far better area under the curve with the twin screw than the centri blower. Peak numbers might be more impressive with a centri car due to the design of the entire system, but area under the curve will go to the twin screw all day.

Even though i'll have to change my cams no matter which power adder i choose, my true interest still lies with the Kenne Bell. But like all good things, everything comes at a certain price. And that price will have to be factored in at the end of the day unfortunately. When that time comes, and i have a couple extra grand to spend, i hope to find a great deal on a used intercooled 2.1 with all the accessories. If i can't find a great deal on the KB i'll be very tempted to buy a good used S-Trim. There's 2 here in Detroit right now for around $2000. If i can get a super deal on a Vortech or Paxton it will be hard for me to say no to that as well. I get really impatient when i get a big sum of money that starts burning a hole in my pocket lol.

I have 5k saved up... just a couple more months and I should be good Just have to decide the route I want to go. I'm still thinking a KB because it'll be a daily driver and it would be nice to have the boost on the low end because I don't take her over 3k much while driving around town.
