Air condtioner problem...
ive tryed to search this within the forum and anything i type it sayes sorry no matches found...idk..but anyway my air condtioner hasnt worked in about a year so id figure id fix it for the hot summer coming up...now i need help ...when i turn the a/c on the a/c clutch doesnt come on at all....not at all so i chedcked the wire going to it and it was dead...hmmmm..so i checked all my fuses and they are all good..and to be honest i dont have a owners manual so i dont even know which one is for the a/c...could it be a bad relay?
i even tryed replacing the what i call the (high pressure switch) and that wasnt it....now heres where it gets intresting..i hot wired the compresser to my batterie and she kicked on then and blew cold as ice but that was cause i hot wired it...so what do yall think it is? bad relay? broken wire somewhere? what am i missing? help please..lol
thanks guys

first things first, you need to have the system hooked up to guages to check the system pressures. there is a low pressure switch that will prevent the compressor from coming on if the pressures are too low. you can bypass it so it runs, but if the charge is low than you will damage the compressor, so bad idea. if the pressures are ok then i would get ahold of a wiring diagram and troubleshoot it from there.

Here are the wiring diagrams for the 2001 MY HVAC (actually all model year new-edge's are pretty much the same).
