A 275 is MAX on a 9" wheel!

I think a 255 is a fine fit for a 9" wheel and will help to improve cornering. It may leave your rim a bit vulnerable to curbs and such, so just be careful. This will also ride a bit rougher than you may be used to, but depends on what you are used to running in a tire. I generally recommend a 265 for a DD on a 9" wheel. This fills out the wheel nicely and doesn't roll over as much as a 275 for better grip on turns.

Well I'm getting the 255's. The old 275's looked too......umm...puffy? Too bulky for that wheel. I'll get them in about two weeks and have them mounted up.

+1 on them looking stretched. It annoyed the hell out of me on my old car. Go with 275s

Well the tires have been mounted for about a week now. My tramlining issue has been diminished with the 255's versus the 275's. They are more snappy in wheel response. No more sloppy steering wheel.

It even looks much better than the 275. It doesn't even remotely look 'stretched'.

Overall...I'd recommend a 255 on a 9" wheel from now on. 275's...never again. Unless you like feeling like you're driving a pig.

They should be good for the front wheels anyway (AM recommends them our year and those tire rack charts say they are fine too). I think on the early sn95's you will end up rubbing with a 275 anyway. Glad you like them!
