Anybody have an "how to" for changing the heater core

Dam this just looks to much like a pain in the a$$. I could jump it like previously posted I really never use the heater anyway. I did get a quote from a reputable mechanic he said he would do it all for $300 as long as I supply the part. Thoughts?

300 bucks ehhhh, I can't stomach paying that kind of cash labor for a job that is doable in the driveway, granted its a PITA, but its still doable.

It's actually not that bad. Just dedicate a day to it. Lots of hard to reach bolts. Dropping down the steering column. All of the little bolts up under the dash. Some hidden ones. Some you wont be able to get out. I didn't actually remove the dash from the car. There were some bolts that I just couldn't get my meat clamps to so I got it out far enough to shimmy out the core.

It will probably take you an entire day.
