Default well i finally got my headers on.

Its 2am and I just finished installing LT's on my car. It was a pita. But the LT's actually made my car quieter at idle it gave it more of a throaty sound but its quieter. Im sure that will change at WOT but I didn't get to see tonight. Will post vids tomorrow sometime not sure of when but I gotta be at work in 5 hours so im not going to tonight. Thanks to doug for helping me out with some questions.

When I installed my long tubes it cleaned up the idle and toned it down and just gave it an overall better sound, and it did get louder WOT.

doug jr tried to install his LTs without dropping the k member or pulling the motor, and got a big slap in the drivers side face

^yeah this. I took the motor mounts off and jacked the motor to where the studs were all the way out thinking it would give me enough room. We got the passengers header on and bolted but when we got to the drivers side it was a nightmare. First we were hitting my shifter cable, then we were hitting the bell housing, so we drop the K member and when we get it back up something is still hitting so we look around and the egr bung was hitting so i took a torch and i cut it off then welded it shut and as soon as we got that egr bung off it went right up. I have a egr valve delete luckily

And yeah uber it quieted my car down but the idle is alot throatier and it sound cleaner just quieter i expected to be able to hear my cams a little better now i was suprised that i couldnt when i started it

They are pipes i bought em of of a member on here i got em for cheap.

Well i just drove the car for the first time and i have a problem, idk how big of one it is hoping someone can help me out. My universal on my steering rod is hitting my header and it is making it hard to turn. i had to run the rod through the header so it would fit but any options on how to fix this? Is there enough room for me to pop the steering rod off and grind some of the knuckle off of it? Keep in mind i am a auto car not a 5 speed
