Mustangman00 has cms 1's with a vortech and it putting down 420ish to the tires. Ask him how he likes the setup with the cams.

I dont doubt it. But on an intercooled S trim, through an Auto, with no longtubes, hes putting down 420-430ish w/ those cams. Not to shabby IMHO.

DWJTR - If those cams don't work out for your new combo, take them out and sell them to me.

No i realize my cams are in no way ideal for a blower, but i was told that there could be issues with too much heat build up in the cylinders, and that i could have issues like burnt exhaust valves, etc... That's my concern. Eventually i would go with a nice set of blower cams if i went this route, but in the meantime it would just be nice to know that it could be done with these cams.

Purp, thanks for the info. I'll pm him.

Sorry to steal your thread dwtjr3 lol.

No problem mrt im trying to figure it out too. The reason I thought my cams were ok is because of the guy mustang man that purps talking about. He put down great numbers. And 97 I will look at what the size of the pulley I have it should say it on the pulley right? I was just told its a 10lb pulley.

If it doesn't say the size... just measure it.

yeah, i mean the only reason I ask is because a 10psi pulley to someone may be because they dont have an i/c, whereas if you have an inefficient i/c that sucks up 3psi than you may want to pulley down to make up for lost power

i wouldnt worry about it, i mean unless your in boost 80% of the time ( or its a track car) i would change em out but if your like the rest of us and do short 10-15 second burst down the highway occasionally or at the stop lights i dont see how it could hurt the motor too bad because driving around its pretty much a n/a motor untill 3k

Sorry double post and can't edit on my phone. But yeah it makes sense 97. And the guy I bought it from was non IC so now I may have to get a smaller pulley. Ill try and measure it tonight. How do I measure it? Just from top to bottm or diameter?
