Pretty sure the shop by me is like $60 a gallon lol...(for BASIC Black lol)

I guess you should pay more attention at work?

Either way, I have some Laser Red Paint ill sell you... $300 a Gallon!!!! Tripple your money!

that might be close lol, for good paint its prob closer to $3-500 but Saying 1k a gallon for basic red is ridiculous lol.

Well i plan to paint it the same color, i just want to get rid of all the minor scratches and couplle of small things wrong with the car. i have one side where it looks like a kid rode his bike next to my car, i have my rear bumber that accumilated all the scratches i have my front hood with the rock chips, and i have the other side of my car with some other small dents and then i have the top of the car that looks like its starteing to pit a little being out in the weather for the last 6 years.

I use to do body work myself but got out of it,like turning wrenches better
I dont think the paint cost that much but let not forget there are other supplies that you need to paint a car and they dont come free

Not to stick up for anyone but there is some custom paints out there that go for big dollars. Look at for example Ford Mystic Paint.
That paint\labor can be very costly where its done in many stages.

But I must agree..Most of the cost is in the prep,show room finishes dont come cheap
