The only problem is that you can't offer a warranty.... what would this cost brand new from MMR?

I bought my built motor used and luckily there were no problems. Its a risky move to spend that much cash on something like a used shortblock... if buyer gets it installed and something goes wrong he is automatically going to blame you...

Best bet would to do a local sale, people that can see it running strong.

Well that one may not be assembled, but its new parts. Yours have 20k miles on them. Plus the engine is setup for boost with how the rings were filed and such so you limit the buyers there too. I personally dont know if I'd pay over $2000 for it, and probably would feel like I'd be feeling good getting it for $1500. If it came with the heads and cams, then that might be a different story. But the only forged shortblocks I've ever seen for sale with those kind of miles on them would be 03 cobra shortblocks and they dont go for all THAT much either. Do some looking over on SVTP about it. Someone over there might also want it as well. Sorry its probably not what you want to hear, but it is what it is.
