it's a slow build for me, because i'm impatient and i want everything NOW. lol.

well finally got back on track with this build. I THOUGHT i had everything to assemble the shortblock tonight, so i set out to do that, gapped all my rings, assembled the pistons/rods/wrist pins. went to throw the main bearings in the block and figured out i got windsor bearings, for my romeo block. ARGHHHH!!!! so, gotta send these back then the assembly will continue. I just picked up my parts from the machine shop a few days ago, had it all balanced and had got the crank ground .010 and polished. here's some pics from the night:

Ct if u don't mind me asking how much it cost to get it balanced? And did u have to take the block and the rotating assembly to get balanced or how did that work?

cost me 220 at the local machine shop. had to take in the crank, rods, pistons, rings, balancer and flywheel. I did not have to take in the block for that.

Ok cool u keep the stock harmonic balancer? Or you get a aftermarket one?

Sorry can't edit on phone but that's y u have the pistons numbered too right? Because that's the way they were balanced?

^ yup. and i took in the stock balancer to get it balanced, i currently have an u/d one on my car and will be putting it on the new motor.
