Default PI manifold swap questions?

I plan on doing the PI manifold swap [onto my non-PI motor] sometime in the next two weeks. I've had the new manifold here for awhile, and I have several questions I want answered before I even begin this little project. I am familiar with the process but want a few hazy areas cleared up...

1. Are the power gains still solid without manifold adapter plates to more smoothly transition between the PI manifold's runners and their corresponding holes on the heads? Does anyone have dynoed results of this swap?

2. Are there affordable [say, 250 or less] manifold adapter plates available for this application?

3. If I choose not to use adapter plates, could someone please elaborate on exactly where, on what, and how much high-temp RTV sealant I need to use? All of the directions I could find say it is necessary, but they dont go into detail OR provide pictures of this crucial point of the swap.

4. Is this upgrade even worth it? keep in mind I already have an intake and plan to mate the two with a tb, plenum, and also tune it down the road.

i have pics on there for where to put the RTV.

You do NOT need adapters to fit it. My writeup is putting the PI intake on the NPI motor. It is not a great upgrade if you are doing it, just for the sake of doing it. I did mine because the stock plastic coolant crossover cracked. So i then upgraded to the aluminum PI one.

Thank you. I was in a bit of a rush, hence the double post. I was just going to do it for the sake of doing it... the previous owner of my car already installed an NPI manifold with an aluminum crossover; my goal is to upgrade rather than repair. I got this manifold cheap. Do you recommend this as a performance upgrade?
