Yea..Im running 3.73s with my vortech with drag radials and still can barely hook in 1st/ 2nd without peddling it.

I just dont think that setup would be all that traction friendly on a street car.

I would think traction would be an issue with 3.27 gears and a KB haha

It may not be the best at the track for getting out of the hole, but the way a centri blowers power comes in later does help keep traction on the street.

I know when I was running my stock stall I could pretty much stomp it from a dig and the car wouldnt spin due to the vortech coming in after a second or so.

I ran 4:10s when I had my centris and I loved it. Before installing the kb I put my 3:27s back in and they weren't enough for me. I have 3:73s now and I'm completely happy with them.

this just goes to show how everybodys setup is different. I couldnt even hook with 4.10's and I'm running a 28" MT ET Radial, now with 3.73s the cars an animal down low

Im sure I could run 4.10s or 4.30s if I had a manual car or a stock converter but with the 3800 stall converter and 3.73s, traction is already hard to come by in first gear

The centri vs ts/roots type blower is a pointless debate cause they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

The power will be there with either blower, how you use it will make all the differance.

My buddys vortech gt on 8 psi, manual, made roughly 360 rwhp, 24 rwhp less than my car, yet his best time at the track was like 13.3-13.4 on drag radials.

My car makes 24 more rwhp and I ran 11.70 and im looking for 11.30-11.40 next time out on slicks.

so a full 1.5 seconds, 24 rwhp...its all in the setup.

I highley doubt the 1.5 second difference has anything to do with the 24rwhp or the blower, def some traction, suspension, transmission, and driving differences there.
