Depends on what your looking for.

I mean you can bolt on a blower on a 99-04 GT and beat stock/slightly modded Termi's.

But if you want to get past that 400 rwhp range safely and somewhat reliably the termi is the way to go.

Save up an extra 5 Grand:

My point? 25k is way to much for that car if you ask me. I love the 03/04 cobra but I wouldn't ever pay over 20k for one regardless of condition.

That being said, I have a 2000GT and it's paid off. I could go buy a Cobra right now if I really wanted to. I joke that it would come before a house, but I know in a few years I'll want a house. So I'll take the paid off car and save my money. Especially in this economy, don't put yourself into anymore debt then you have to. Get some 4.10's for your GT and call it a day, just my o2.

Those are some very valid points that some shouldnt have an argment against period. i paid mine off a few years ago and it still has like 70,000 miles on it and i started adding mods to it from there its just kinda financially crazy to jump into a longterm car loan with a 7-8 year old car when you already have a 7+year old car that has a STEEP aftermarket all the way down to bolts/arp. Build what you have its yours or you can make the bank happy and sign some loan papers for them.

I agree with what zero is saying, but I wouldn't trade your present car for anything right now since it is paid off. Drive it for 2-3 more years (while saving some cash) and then get a nice clean used 2011 or 2012 5.0.

...they shoulda gotten down on their knees and **** your **** just for being serious with that amount. -_-
