If you do CMS or MHS stage 1 na cams you do not need to switch them out. But IMHO if you gonna go blower go straight to blower cams. I regret that i didnt

yeah if you are dead set on going FI than you might as well get a blower grind now so you dont ever have to even consider swapping them out yet again. Check out CMS and MHS, both will yield great results

i have stage 2 n/a bullit cams and i definitely love them, car made a nice power curve up to 6200 rpm.

I vote cams. since you already have shorties you'll see a lot more gains with cams. I'm sure even a blower grind will see 20+ whp, i would hope anyways lol. I'm going to be getting some cms 2.5 blower cams when i assemble my motor this winter, and i wont have f/i for a while yet. However i just put my longtubes on a few weeks ago, took about 5 hours. No way will you install and degree cams that fast your first time, so the cam install will be much more extensive imo.

Yeah it toook me 2 good nights to get my cams in. The disassembly was the easy part.

You can always get something like the Brenspeed Detroit Rocker cams too as they have a blower specific grind. Look and sound great.
