I always got rid of my brake squeal by doing break stands. ..Of course I did do a lot of preventative maintenance by doing break stands every time I got a new set of wheels or tires.

I've done one from 151 down to 80 But the noise was around before then so I figured it couldn't hurt since I've got warranty lol.

I've noticed with squeaky brakes that if you replace them, wait a few months upon replacing them. The squeak usually goes away. I talked with several mechanics about this and they say brakes squeak upon being broken in. Once they are well broken in, it usually stops. It's when you wait 3 or 4 months and the sound continues is it a problem. Yea I would check your axle and possibly wheel bearings make sure nothing is out of the ordinary. Sometimes the problem is just looking you right in the face.

When you hear a squeak it is caused by a vibration. Two very good ways to solve this are by putting anti sieze on any part of the backing plate that touches the caliper or bracket. The other thing to do is to take a grinder to your pad and bevel a 45 degree angle onto the edges perpendicular to the rotor(leading edge and trailing edge). You wont have to take much material off and your pads wont wear out any faster. This eliminates the 90 degree contact surface that creates a lot of vibration. If the squeak is still there after these 2 tricks I would think you've been looking in the wrong spot.
