Very interested. Hoping for more pictures/possibly a write up! Very curious on how you made mounting brackets...

couple of images..one is a cut off shot, and the other is a failed vacuum forming attempt. i pulled another one this evening that came out much nicer. But ive been playing with the idea of black fiberglass. Looks like carbon fiber but at half the cost.

did the original plastic not come off in one peice, or was it cracked or something? maybe you could use one of those plastic black-tinted headlight covers?

w/ carbon fiber or fiberglass, there wont be much of a transparency?

i could have used "smoked" lenses, but opted for clear. The smoked ones kill light output a little. When you open the headlights its four pieces in total. Housing, reflector, lens, trim piece. I originally opened the OEM housings with no intentions to use the lenses due to the yellowing from years of UV exposure. It will look much cleaner and "factory" by using a trim piece.

vacuum formed shrouds - this is the 1st time I have ever heard of this. can you post more links/pics to such shrouds? i did a retrofit on a maxima back in 2006, used e46 bezels at the time and was happy. i am considering doing a retrofit on my mustang this winter.
