Default $2500 to spend.

Newb, looking to spend around $2500 on my stock 2v. Anyone have any ideas on the best combo for that amount of money? I was thinking Intake, TB, Longtubes, X pipe, catback, gear, DR.

VORTECH! If you take your time, you can peice a intercooled system together for a little under $2k. Do searches on the forum for it.

Heres the link you need to do that...https://mustangforums.com/forum/pipe...-its-done.html... depending on your long term goals for the car, if your going turbocharged might as well do it now..

I'd say put a blower on it like the other guys have said, but in all honesty I'd look into getting a 4v like Smitty said first. All depends on what your longterm goals for the car are.
2v+s/c=roughly 330rwhp
4v+s/c=roughly 420rwhp

What are your goals for the car? Is the 2.5k to start a build or is it the majority of funds to be sunk into the build? What are the plans for the car? Auto-x? DD? Dragging? Showcar/weekend car?

If you go with a gear and drag radials, you'll want to upgrade your control arms. The factory arms can't handle much abuse.

These UPR control arms a great for street/strip applications and they're only $179 for the set of four with a lifetime guarantee!

http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-9...l-arm-kit.html (use these if it's a 99-04 car. There's a different part number for 96-98)

Shocks, struts, and springs are a good upgrade for a street/strip car too. At UPR Products, we carry Strange 10-way adjustable shocks & struts and UPR/Eibach springs for that application.

Im a UpR fan but i gotta say regardless of what brand cheap rear controls or any control for that matterr that uses a poly bushing on both ends is just flat out crap. They bind, cause unpredictable suspensiom travel under hard cornerng and also crack and stress torque boxes. I tried to explain this to a guy at the stand at carlisle all ford. Promote your spherical control arms with a heim join on one end because thats the way to go.
