Default Catalytic Converter needs replacing..

I have a bad catalytic Converter and it needs to be replaced. I dont want to have to replace the whole Mid pipe (currently have a MAC Catted H-pipe), so I
thought maybe I can have new cats welded in..?
I just bought the SLP Hi flow cats from Americanmuscle.com.

Should it be easy for my shop to swap them out? anyone ever have new cats just welded into an existing midepipe? how much did they charge you?

Thanks..

should be easy enough, they're on the lower portion i believe so should be easy to get to, i dont see it costing more than 50 bucks to cut it off and weld on the old one.

Finding a local mom and pop shop would be best, however even one of the chains should not have a problem with cutting out and replacing a cat with something similar...
