It should be an M12 x 1.50, a standard metric "sort-of-coarse" thread that shows up all over the place (I.e. most hardware stores) as being the standard metric coarse thread--it is not. The standard M12 coarse thread is 1.75 mm pitch.

The standard M12 fine thread is 1.25 mm pitch.

Do you have enough of it left to figure out what size it is--even a photo would help identify if is is the wrong pitch...

Easiest way would be to create a photobucket account, upload the images there and then link them in the body of the message.

And a nice looking Stang indeed (if your referring to cliffy). Its called a Sig Pic. Upload some pics of your car to your computer. Create a Photobucket account and upload photos there. Copy and paste the IMG code onto any thread/post.

Then you have two options.

1: Go to the Chop Shop here on this site and ask nicely if someone there could make you a Sig Pic. Will still need a Photobucket account to get pics (paste IMG code) copied to post. They should hook you up.

2: Get some photo editing software and create something yourself (like I did). Once you have something you like, you will need to "resize" your photo to about 25%. I think there might be a limit on how big your sig pic can be. All can be done for free on internet. Once you have the IMG code, go to your User CP and click Edit Signature on left. List your mods and paste the code. Always a good idea to "Preview" before you save. Just in case your pic isn't sized properly.

As for the busted bolt. You tried drilling out the center and using a bolt extractor?

Sorry to hear about your new problem resulting from just a simple bolt-on mod.
I have tried to warn guys about the pitfalls of installing the new crank pulley by just using the new bolt.

It is too late now, but it is best to get a fairly long piece of threaded rod to engage deep into the crank and use a nut to pull the pulley down a bit before switching over to the new bolt. With the pulley only slightly engaged, the new bolt simply isn't engaging enough threads to begin torquing down the pulley.

Unfortunately, I have seen a few installs gone wrong from just using the new bolt to pull down the new pulley.

I would try what was mentioned above, which is to drill out the center of the bolt and use an extractor (easy-out). This is a tough problem because you want to be careful not to screw up your only chance to extract it without having to pull the crank.

GOO LUCK!!!
I would ask lots of questions before trying anything. See if CLIFFY will chime in on this issue.

It's a bitchy place to get a drill into, I'd consider pulling the radiator. Also depending on how hard the Steeda supplied bolts is you may need cobalt drill bits. Start with a small diameter bit and try to as close to the center as you can. Then use the largest size bit that will not drill into the internal threads of the crank nose. Because it is jammed in a larger hole will relieve some of the stress holding it in. Have 2 or 3 drill bits on hand as you will likely dull and/or break one or two.

Once it's drilled use a left hand spiral easy-out--forget those tapered square things you are supposed to tap in a bit as they just generally make matters worse.

One other possibility is to find a shop with a portable EDM tap removal system. Those things are amazing and it may be worth paying someone to avoid the BS of trying to get it out with conventional tools.

On last "for future reference" comment--next time use a harmonic balancer installer. I have this set from Lisle, beats the crap out of that silly long bolt Steeda supplies.
