Well for any of you that know me, I started here with an 04 GT and sold it with 55K mi (never should have got rid of that car) then went to a 03 Mach1 and sold that with 86K mi THEN currently to a 04 GTO M6 with 76K mi and a DD.

The GTO has made me get over the whole hp/go fast game. I'd rather have a nice, clean looking, well running car. Nothing against the GTO's but this one in partiuclar has fought me every step of the way. I spent too much money on it JUST to get it back to a good DD status. It pushed my patience...Plus I'm over paying premium gas prices and would like to get out of a car loan quicker ("loan" to a family member).

I've owned it for about 2 months maybe and have done:
Brakes $300
Strut mounts + Radius Rod bushings $350
New Tires $620
1 pc DS $600
Rear Springs $220
Plus oil + trans fluid + Spark plugs
These are things ANYONE who bought this car would have needed to do.

SO, that being said. Anyone wanna keep an eye out for a clean 03/04 GT with minimal mods (lowered/exhaust/shifter/wheels are fine). Sonic Blue, Mineral Grey, Silver, MAYBE black allowed LOL

I've been talking with Purp (Rob) about his car. With his new paint job the car looks real nice.

I can't think of any other car I would enjoy as a DD that's still a V8 RWD manual that can get 26mpg highway that is not $$. Plus I know the new edge platform pretty well from being around it and they prove to be cheaper/easier to replace parts than the GTO (I figured the LS drivetrain would prove cheap/easy....it's everything else that isn't, and it's that "everything else" I've had to replace). Lesson learned the hard way...this car didn't turn out to be a "deal". Another thing is a new edge doesn't even have strut mounts OR radius rod bushings OR a sh!tty factory 2 pc DS OR factory sagging rear springs that need replacing LOL

Price will depend on how much I can get for the goat.

Wanna trade a well loved Bullitt for the goat? Jk I'm too attached to my B! I knew you'd be back sorry to hear about the issues though. Best of luck finding a GT!

LOL, this all came up suddenly. Looking into the future of things that get replaced on cars...like a clutch etc

I got "power potential" ooglie eyed with the LS1, but to dump money into a DD 76K mi car for power is not something I care to do anymore.

I'd rather a car I can wax up and drive it to a show and be noticed for a clean, well balanced car. I'm not worried about the power anymore. I want to buy reg. gas and be able to take a reliable car across the country if I need to and get at least 26mpg.

Does the goat ride real nice now and sound good and have more get up and go than a GT? Sure does, but ask me the last time I USED the power aginst someone....lol I don't street race, I don't drag race, I don't auto-x lol.
