since we all already know the dangers of HID's in a halogen reflector,i'll skip that/But the likelihood of any aftermarket ballast putting out a true 55w is probably exaggerated. FWIW. I know of one brand that actually does. But if you wanna run HID's like a BOSS, heres some boosted OEM ballast.100w!!

^ yes yes i know. but i'm not putting ugly *** projectors on my car, and nor am i paying 500 plus for a set of retrofitted stock looking housings. if ANYONE would make a stock looking projector or just a projector that's less rediculous for a decent price, i'd buy some.

Those look good.

I don't have projectors but if you get dark smoke housings you'll need 55w
I'm running a 8k 55w in my headlights and a 15k 35w in my fogs... ill snap a pic and put it up.
as for the high beam ill only buy hid with what I call a safety bulb.. or a xenon low beam with a 35w halogen high beam... if something happens to a bulb or ballast or something flip on the high beam and you still have both headlights to keep you legal

Not all HID kits are the same. A 35w with 6000K bulbs from one brand might not be same color as the same wattage/temp from a different manufacturer.

I used to have a 2002 Mercedes that I put a DDM Tuning HID kit on and it was 35w 6000K and it was very bright blue/white. Sold the car with the HIDs still in it and I see it around town often and the lights are still bright. I had a 35w 6000K kit from DDM Tuning that was blue when it first fired up and after warming up for a minute turned white/yellow on the Mustang. One of the bulbs burned out and I bought replacement bulbs on ebay for $15 (unknown brand) and the bulbs I chose were 8000K and they're blue/white.

yup. you can compare two vendor's bulbs of the same Kelvin and they wonlt look alike. Only true Kelvin are going to be from OEM..which there are none of for rebased HID bulbs.

My 55w 6000k's are white. They put off a fairly 'daylight' shine on the road and they look white when looking at them.

How much were those projectors?
