Default why is it so.....

My friend has a 98 GT, I have a 99. He got flowmaster 40's about a month ago. I got mine just two days ago. My car is so much more aggressive and louder than his. Why is that? Because I have more HP or just the different year/motor set up? I’m very happy with the results, he's not so much.....HAHA

Do both both of you have the same mid pipe, I would guess that yours is a o/r-mid pipe and he still has cats.

agree with above, do you still have all your cats? only other thing i can think of is the improved cams of the PI that might make it sound a little different, shouldn't be very much tho.

I think the way the heads flow would make a difference. Also depends on the rest of the exhaust setup.

I believe the 94-96 have 6 cats also instead of 4 that you have, that would make a difference too.
