Default Shifting problems

My buddy has an 01 gt and when he runs the rpm's up it won't let him shift. But only when the car is at high rpm's. It won't let him run thru the gears when it gets into 4k and above, I'm thinking it's the synchro but not sure. Any body have experience with this?

most likely a synchro issue. Super common for 2-3-4 on the 3650s, if the car is a 3650 car. Whats the build date

It's a t45 and also it has a short thro shifter in it if that would even cause anything. It does feel like it needs adjusting
