I have been debating the same thing as the op.The more of this thread I read the more it's helping me to decide on a SC instead of nitrous.

Interesting my friend, I'd like to see some numbers. Man back it up before you sling. My numbers dont lie friend. If your not running over 450 HP at the crank then I suggest you tone it down Brah. Hit me up sometimes. Im not hard to find.

Can anyone explain (in a quick nut shell) the pros and cons to each?

I am a noob to both. But here is my thinking. Please correct me.

Supercharger: Well, I don't really know to much about them except they give good gains on low boost (8-9psi). You will be running boost at all times. Cost is outrageous compared to NO2.

Nitrous: Simple kit and simple install. The power is only there when you want it to be there. Cheap. Get wet kit for 500-600ish bucks. Include bottle heater, window switch, remote bottle opener, puts cost at 1000ish.

I know I am leaving a ton of variables out of the equation here. My main goal is more power on a budget. Also, when the punk *** kid in the ricer pulls up next to me, I just want the extra "oomph" to make sure I will not fall to a turd Civic...lol

Thanks in advance to any helpful info.
Mustang00 is spot on. Nitrous is cheap and is there exactly when you need it. This is not a cop out or a deterrent from an SC at all man, but a SC shares your motors oil and depends on your engine, I.E. Pulleys, so if your Supercharger goes out, possibly your engine will as well. Good nitrous system will run ya 400-900 $ in coparison to a good SC which can run into the 9K+ if you buy a new unused good one. NITROUS VS. SUPERCHARGING, THE choice is yours.

^^V8ORNOTHING, first off, nice job bringing back threads from like a year ago that no one has touched.(like the second or 3rd that ive seen in the last day) 2nd, your 404 horse isnt much around these forums, as many people on here, are built, blown and cammed, atleast 50% or more. and for a new guy, with no dyno sheets, time slips, or vids... your mouth is going to get you alot of negative attention.

He also said in 2 different posts in the same thread that he put down both 274rwhp and then 330 rwhp N/A with no nitrous so which one is it.

And I am going to say I am 1000000% positive you did NOT put down 330 N/A rwhp with the bolt ons in your sig.

And I am running 400rwhp and 396 ftlbs of torque on 11lbs of boost thru a auto trans, im not too hard to find either so come to PA

And stop bashing veteran members on here like sxynerd, if you knew what his old car was you wouldnt be talking
