you will make more power and it shouldn't cost too much since you can get a mark8 motor for pretty cheap. biggest limiting thing isn't the b heads it's the intake. you'd have to get like a cobra intake then have it ported.
The IMRC's are plates that go between the lower intake and the cylander heads.You can buy plates and delete them yourself or just buy the deletes from MMR.I don't believe your ECU can operate them so you will need the deletes.Each plate has eight holes in it.One for each primary and secondary intake valve.Below 3200 rpm only the primaries are getting air.At 3200 rpm the butterfly valves are opened by the ecu and both intake valves are getting air.To delete them yourself you just remove the rods and butterflies then weld the small rod holes shut.
I had both a full bolt on PI swap and a bone stock Mark VIII swap. The PI setup has much more tire roasting torque in the lower RPM range, but is quickly out of breath. The Mark VIII motor doesn't have much below 3K RPM, but it comes alive after that. Overall, the Mark VIII motor was way faster than the PI.
