Default Cobra Help... Fresh motor spitting out black chunks.

As alot of you know, our cobra had gone through a fresh rebuild after the clutch explosion. it has about 600 miles on the new motor, and dyno day is scheduled for next week. However we find that its spitting small black chunks out the exhaust. Like the size of sand grains.. It has a catless exhaust with borla Stingers, I read a few places that these mufflers have "stainless steel wool" packing in them. Could they be causing the small particles? We have noticed the car seems a bit raspier than normal the last few drives. It runs and drives fine, no weird noises from the motor etc. All seems sound and normal. except that we can see these particles on the ground when fired in the garage.

Thats what we're going to do. It almost looks like sand, I cant think of anything that would grind/ come apart inside the motor and look like the grit...

ring/cylinder wall shavings, bearing material, block material, it can be anything. But I would imagine its the guts of the cat maybe.

Is it metal? Do you think someone could of poured sand into your new motor? There use to be a little ***** around here that use to pour cartons of BBs into peoples oil fill and tell them they need a rebuild.
