lowdown on throttle body
#21
That explains a lot. It looks basically stock except for the CAI which really doesn't do much as the stock intake is a CAI and a pretty good one at that.
Has the mid-pipe (from the manifolds to and including the crossover) been changed or is the "Bassani exhaust" just a catback?
In any event I go back to what I said earlier:
1) open up the exhaust to 2-1/2" from the manifolds back, H- or X-pipe, catted/"off-road", as you like;
2) Figure out what gears you have, just record the actual MPH from a GPS and rpm at that speed, and what gear you were in--post it here it's an easy calculation;
3) Tune/tuner, BAMA has a good deal on SCT tuners and "tunes-for-life" if you do not expect to ever tune it yourself, otherwise Delta Force Tuning has some great tuning tools;
4) Get rid of the stock upper plenum (the thing with the pony on it) and replace it with any aftermarket unit. A 70 mm TB is optimal for any n/a 2V setup;
After that everything other than a power adder is tweaking and making a happier engine, no dramatic gains...
