Default Drag set up...what to look for?

So I want to get a set of wheels for a drag set up, but not sure what to look for. I know I need a certain bolt pattern, but what size wheel is the best and what is the back spacing supposed to be?

Depends? Are they track only? Or some street time? 15" you can run either slicks or a fat radial. 17" if your only running radials.

I'm going to assume you'll get a 10" wide wheel out back. The bolt pattern is 5x4.5, id go with 6.5ish" backspacing and then pick your offset from there, like 23-25mm.

I'd personally get a set of 15x10s with a set of either ET drags or ET streets (if they see street time).

For the front you will want to get about a 3.5"-4.5" wide wheel if you are wanting to run skinnies up front which i would recomend for a "drag" setup. I put on BFG T/A radials up front as it is a street car. Out back most common is 15X10 with 6.5" BS as stated above. For the power in your sig with a stick shift you are going to want the biggest slick out back you can, or D.O.T. slick. I fit 27X11.50" ET Streets under mine before narrowing the rear axle to fit 28X13.50". All the power you have even with a drag setup for wheels and tires you are still going to struggle launching without replacing at least the upper control arms if not both uppers, lowers, and adjustable shocks.

What kind of BS on the skinnies up front? or is there very little change from one to the next?

The least amount you can find. Mine I had to run a 3/8" spacer and grind the caliper a little to clear but that is due to billet specialties design on the mounting flange

Scooter, I assume that all your mods are in your sig. I know you are asking about wheels and tires but if you want to be able to do anything with the wheels and tires, besides look mean, you need to get FLSFCs, get your axle tubes welded and either get battle boxes or have your torque boxes welded up! I would also figure out what mph you plan on trapping at and run it into a gear calculator when trying to decide on the diameter of a tire. Keep in mind than an ET drag will run wider than an ET street and that you can't always go by the number on the tire. For example:

26x11.5-15 ET Street has a section width of 12" and a tread width of 9.8"
28x11.5-15 ET Street has a section width of 11.1" and a tread width of 8.6"
28x11.5-15 ET DRAG has a section width of 12.9" and a tread width of 11"

That was just an example of widths, but IMO height is just as important, maybe more!
Keep in mind that some slicks will sway more that others on the big end and if you're not used to it, it can make for a hairy ride!

Was that 27x11.5 an old tire? I don't think they make those any more.

Thanks agian for the great information. This is not my DD and won't see much track time. Mainly street driven. The SFC were next on my list of things to get done.
