I had it done professionally at a stereo shop. They've been in business a long time and I've taken other cars there for stereo's and haven't had any issues. I live down in Melbourne .

I was shooting for #8...

It could be a wiring issue leading to the instrument cluster or something in the cluster itself. Those clusters are not fun to work with.

Found the culprit. The anti-slosh module is fried. It took out two printed circuit board tracers in the panel itself. So I guess it's junkyard hunting for me next weekend.

Good luck with that.
Unfortunately the only yards I know are in Omaha or south of Tampa, neither of which really helps either of us now.

Glad you found the issue.

I heard those clusters are a PITA. Biggest worry about mine is the cluster going out.
