Default Dyno Guesses

I have a dyno day scheduled in a couple weeks. I am wondering if there were any intelligent guesses to what number I will put down. There won't be any tuning, so it will be to find out what I am getting.

The runs will be done in Colorado Springs, CO. Altitude off hand is about 6000ft I believe, could be wrong, and temp should be 80's and on up.

Mods:

Hypertech tune, steeda underdrive pulleys, cold air, throttle body, upper plenum, typhoon intake, bbk shorties

All else is stock as far as power is concerned, I have 3.73 gears, but I don't know if they will increase or decrease losses. So 260hp, 305 lb-ft, at the crank stock, I figured add 25 for the mods then a fudge factor for elevation and temp, figured 15% losses. I think 220-230hp, 270-275lb-ft at the wheels.

A million internet dollars and a cold beer to whoever is closest. Any other thoughts?

You won't be making an SAE corrected dyno pull? No correction for altitude and temperature? 205 HP at the rear wheels for a 5 speed.

How much are you fudging for altitude? It should be 18% at 6,000 ft. before knocking off anything for high temperatures. Then subtract powertrain losses.

Honestly I don't know if it will be SAE corrected. I didn't arrange to session. I will make some basic assumptions and assume that the numbers will be SAE corrected, since the shop reportedly does good work. I've never been there. Altitude correction was a swag guess, not based on anything real.

I am more interested in the actual numbers than corrected though. Corrected doesn't mean a whole lot when you are making some runs at Bandimere. Corrected numbers have a use and are a good baseline but I want to know what I get on a daily basis.

I will be sad though if I only pull 205, time for a turbo if that is the case.

3% HP loss per 1,000 feet is the correct factor. 12% power train loss gets you to 205HP if your mods are actually worth 25HP.

I am going with 195HP/255tq. That altitude is a bitch.

I'm hoping the mods actually deliver their advertised horsepower gains to get to my 205 HP. Or, the dyno is optimistic. Or, it's 40F on dyno day.

What can I say, I'm an optimist!
