Engine Swap... Ideas - Thoughts - Options
Hey all... I'm betting I don't know most of you anymore since it's been a long while since I've been active... Unfrtunately the car has kind of taken a back seat to some other life issues. But, I want that to change this year. I think I am ready (and willing) to do an engine and trans swap... I want a 6 speed manual - and was going to wait until I had issues with my current trans, but it makes sense to match it with the new engine.
I'd just like to get a discussion rolling on this. What trans, what engine, what parts, the whole deal. Is there anything my current Vortech could swap onto? Or would I need a super charger? How about building a nice NOS system in? I figure if I am going to do it, I will do it to the degree I would want. This setup is geared towards streetablility along with the potential for some track runs...
So what do you guys think? Throw your thoughts in. I look forward to this discussion and planning!!!

Personally, my next engine combo is a teskid block, ported 2v heads with mild cams, 10:1 compression and a tork tech kit on about 8-10 psi. Should be snappy and make close to 500 rwhp and a ton of torque. Perfect for what i'm doing and very streetable.
