Default 2002 GT Terminator

When I bought my 2002 GT Convertible three weeks ago, I noticed that below the GT name plate on the trunk, it has a "Terminator" name plate. The seller said he thought Ford had an option that included a 275HP motor, suspension, and Mustang black inserts in the bumper. I researched this on line till I was blue in the face! I think he was yanking my chain, and somebody just put that "Terminator" name plate on themselves. Any feedback?

I'm inclined to say that your chain was indeed yanked.

Yeah pretty sure terminator was never an official badging. The 03-04 cobra had that name internally at Ford but I dont think any official badges were ever made for them. And I doubt they would put that on an 02 then turn around and use it on the 03-04 which was more expensive haha. But don't let it take away from the car the GTs are still a lot of fun.

I figured as much. You can buy those "Terminator" badges on E-Bay, but I agree that the term was reserved for the upcoming 03 Cobra. By the way, I didn't purchase this car because of the badging. Having owned an 01 Cobra and foolishly letting my wife convince me to sell it to get a boat, was a huge mistake. I have always loved the style of this car and have been looking for over ten years to find one that was in pristine condition. This car met the specs, and I am enjoying every minute driving it, especially with the top down.
