Default I just don't know?!

I'm getting a CAI and I don't know if I should get the JLT or the C&L. The JLT is cheaper and a better horsepower gain, but the C&L looks like it was born to be in that car and ain't far from JLT's hp stats. What should I get?! Any past experiences would be help. Thanks fellas!

I'm not rich and I don't flash the goodies so I went with JLT but 90% of everyone hear will tell you C&L. Yeah the JLT isn't aluminum like the C&L but I don't see my CAI coming apart anytime soon. The factory intake is made of even less rigid plastic and they are made to last the lifetime of the vehicle so I think the JLT or C&L Racer intake(plastic) will hold up fine.

It really just comes down to personal preference...

Actually. I read on allfordmustangs that the JLT tubing falls apart and doesn't fit to well in the engine compartment

you "read" that, but i "know" from first hand ownership for more than a year now, that if properly installed and tightened, the JLT (even series I) will not fall apart and does easily fit far within the engine comparment...

it also flows better than the C&L, so for you saleen-blower people or hardcore-bolton guys, i see no reason why you would not get the JLT other than personal preference based solely on looks/fit/finish

I bought the C&L street version with the SCT2 from brenspeed.com and I am 100% satisfied. Performance gains are amazing, and the C&L is built very well, installation is a snap.

I went with C&L too, it is coming tommorow. To me the JLT just looks too aftermarket. The C&L just looks right. I actually like the look of the racer better, but Brenspeed claims the aluminum one is a better bet and gives a couple more HP and will also probably last longer.

I went with JLT because a) it makes more power, and b) it costs less. It depends whether you want "pretty", or more horsepower.
Installation was easy. I think the problems refered to have been corrected. I see no reason why this set-up won't last indefinately.
With my SCT tune by Fred @ Evolution, I've noticed a BIG difference in performance and driveability.

Here's a vote for the C&L. I've had it on almost a year and with the Predator tune, it runs like a dream. Looks great, too!

How much does it cost to get brenspeed to mail you a tune for the SCT
