Default hand held tune or custom shop tune

Hey guys. Just put a new CAI on my 06 gt and next am going to do a tune. Do I want to purchase a handheld tuner from one of the vendors or do I want to go to a shop and get a custom tune. I feel like my car bogs and I have lost torque when I first jump on it. I am assuming this is because I need a tune. Also any idea how much I should expect to spend for a custom shop tune. On another note, the gas out here only goes as high as a 91 octane. Will I notice a difference if I use the 91 versus normal 87. Thanks for your help.

Custom tune ALL the way IMO..

no two cars are a like.. plus weather ( where you live ) plays a roll in there..

may want to take CAI off until you get a tune.. I would from the problems you say

you have...!!!

take that CAI off until you get a tune IMO.

as you MIGHT hurt your engine...

Definitely take that CAI off. Look for a shop around your area that tunes cars. I was lucky enough to find one in my area that does nothing but mustangs. Expect at least 300+ for a custom tune. Go with the 91!

Higher octane tune ='s higher HP!!!!

87 to 93 was a huge jump in my car. . .

also, you may want to check with www.brenspeed.com, you can call the guy, and he can put a tune on a programmer for you FOR THE INTAKE you already have. . . he did mine, and the HP jumped like none other. . .

just my .02,

just call him, tell him your prob, and he will fix it for ya, and ship you some tunes, he can do it all buddy, he is the 05-06 king tuner IMO
