I'm looking at a few new bolt on's for my 06. I found a twin 62mm throttle body and a catalytic cross-pipe w/high flow cats, both from BBK of course. They claim a 30hp/40lb-ft gain w/CAI which I already have. By the way, it was tested on an 06 GT 5spd. Would like to know if anyone has these parts installed and what you thought!

There have been a LOT of posts on this forum about the throttle bodies. Use the SEARCH feature to look for them.

Basically, throttle bodies are not recommended. Most people that bought them ended up throwing them out and going back to stock. HP gains were poor (if any), and they are notoroious for causing rough idle and throwing codes. There are a LOT of "horror stories" like this from past users.

According to Kenne Bell, the HP gain is zero.

I'd leave the throttle body stock and save your $$$ for something else.

The Catted midpipe is a good mod in general, though I'm not familar with the BBK version. You could expect to see maybe 5-10 HP from switching from a stock midpipe to one with high-flow cats.

Brent at Brenspeed seems to believe in the BBK throttle bodies....said he has had no problems out of them (even sells them). I think its also because BBK is using plastic gears like the OEM while everyone else was putting brass gears in them....and the car had an issue adjusting the heavier brass gears.
